The experience
What’s included
An excellent way to immerse yourself in the terroir and indulge in conviviality. Discovery of the Domaine Bertholet cellar, then a walk through the Villeneuve vineyards with fondue along the way. This walk is done ALONE but is organized by Domaine Bertholet, a family-owned winery and cellar for 4 generations. The experience begins at the Domaine Bertholet cellar in the center of Villeneuve village (Grand-Rue 36) with a visit to the cellar with the winemaker and a tasting of 3 wines (approx. 60 min.). Then, the walk is done ALONE. We will provide you with the walk plan and the equipment for the fondue. A steady climb will take you through the more or less sloping Villeneuve vineyard. We will indicate places where you can stop to prepare your own fondue ALONE (ACCORDING TO THE PROVIDED RECIPE) accompanied by the white wine 'Chasselas' from the Domaine. Throughout the hike, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the lake beyond the vineyard. When you feel like it, you will return to the cellar to return the equipment. Other notes: *The start of the experience is either at 10:30 am for lunch or at 4:30 pm for dinner (count at least 3 hours) *Wear good walking shoes (and in winter, possibility of doing it in the evening, but only upon request) *This experience can be organized for more than 12 people upon request Cheers!
